This past weekend I got to broadcast the Vanderbilt at Kentucky women’s basketball game and asked my former teammate, Niya Butts, a must eat at it in Lexington, Kentucky. Well, the first name off her tongue was Malone’s so mom and I went for an early dinner.
My waiter was a young gentleman named Dylan. And, you should have seen his face when I told him what I was doing. He recommended a steak so I went with the “Anthony Davis.” Yes, a steak named after one of their former Wildcat stars who now plays for the New Orleans Pelicans.
My meal started off with the Blue Cheese & Apple Salad which was super yummy and had a nice combination of mixing in it, but topped with a poppy seed dressing.
Then came the main meal, a 10 Oz prime New York strip medium well with blackened jumbo shrimp topped with a creole butter AND a side of the crispy potatoes (aka French fries). Absolutely scrumptious!!
Well, I’m 2 for 2 in restaurants and looking forward to my next place for Good Eats. Until next week… keep eating GOOD (It’s All Good!)
